George Lawton is an independent researcher, freelance journalist, and massage therapist based in Guerneville and San Francisco. He is currently focusing on latency and cultivating happiness.

Over the last twenty years he has written over two thousand stories for publications about computers, communications, knowledge management, business, health, and other areas which interest him.

Prior to writing, George researched patents for Express Search, apprenticed with Global Press in Washington, DC, and apprenticed with the Institute of Ecotechnics during which he sailed an 82' Chinese Junk to Antartica, worked on a cattle station in Australia, and helped build Biosphere II in Oracle Arizona.
